Autumn holidays coming to an end. It has been a lovely week. The weather has been great with a little warmth in the air and the beautiful brown and red colours peep out everywhere in nature.
Particular, we had a fantastic fashion show at Noa Noa in Roskilde. It was a lovely experience. It was the first time both of us, Matilde and me. And since we are both introverted people we were very very nervous about it.
I startede early this year to make the Halloween cake... had to be done while the time was there. It was "deadly"good. It is my motto: It may well be that the cake looks great ... but it must taste delicious as well.
Halloween kage - uhhhh.... |
I had bought a skeleton candy mold in the "Kop & Kande" in Køge. The rest is made of hands and fantasy.
The basic is a good chocolate cake. I have cut the top of the cake and put green homemade fondant over.
The top has crumbled in a bowl together with a little melted chocolate so it looks like soil. It is then put on the green fondant as graves. The skeletons are made of white chocolate and they are put on the graves... with a little "soil" over.
Grave stones are made from marzipan coated with black and gray fondant and RIP is written with white fondant.
And finally, the fences that are made by free hand, are set/put on the cake.
Do you dare to taste!
